Part way through this bowl of Wessex Gold Slice in a black straight, grain etched family era (Post WW2) Four Dot Sasieni “Appleby” apple with a tapered vulcanite stem. Not much hitting tonight, which seems to be typical of recent All Star games.

Russ's Fiddlesticks in a MM Shire Cobbit. I left the fiddlesticks in a repurposed coconut oil jar for a few months now and is mellowed out or simply changed quite nicely. The Virginia's have taken on q more savory, prune like taste I have to admit I'm a fan of.

Enjoyed a tasty, freshly made meat loaf, mashed potatoes and sweet corn lunch with the last of the cantaloupe for dessert. I'm a quarter of the way through this bowl of year 2014 Saint James Flake in a smooth straight Lane era Charatan Executive Extra Large stretch apple with diagonal channel cuts on the lower right and left of the bowl along with a black vulcanite double comfort stem. This pipe was formerly owned by actor William Conrad. Going to clean a few pipes and get to work.

JimInks, I've been reading your amazing posts and reviews for some time now but I wonder...
    1) How are you able to smoke so much?
    2) Do you ever trash you tongue?
    3) Do you ever need a prolonged break from pipe smoking?

I ask because I periodically go through a stage where everything tobacco-related starts tasting like I licked the inside of ashtray--all the good flavors are gone and only the bad remain. It typically happens after smoking daily for a few months, and when that happens I have to take a lengthy break and put away my pipes for weeks and sometimes longer.

(And I'm currently smoking Ye Olde Signe)
