My usual Sunday morning (only day off) treat. Dunhill EMP in a no-name straight apple with a huge bowl. And a big cup of really good coffee. If I didn't have play with power tools this morning, I might even have added some rum to it.
I'm having a mix of McClelland's 2035 (Dark Navy Flake) and a pinch from the "remainders" can - some 1-Q and "natural cavendish" (which is neither) with some coffee.

GLP Union Square in a Savinelli "Bing's Favorite" Brownblast Billiard.
It took me some time to really appreciate Union Square. I'm more an English smoker, and this straight Virginia did not impress at first. However, after letting it air-dry a bit, and rubbing it out along with a very light packing it smoked very well in this particular pipe. Halfway though the bowl I began to notice the wonderful sweetness, and it stayed dry and pleasant for over an hour of smoking.
The room note is very pleasant, and I am moving this up from the "ok" category to the "good" category.

I have just recieved my free sample of Captian Black and I find it a great smoke. I am a new piper and I'm trying new blends. I find this blend very mild with great flavor and the smell is pleaseing. I hope this helps other readers like myself flying blind in the smoke of flavors taste and smells. Thanks for reading my post. Any feedback would be great! BLW I'll be smoking this in a Dr. Plumb,Flat Grip,full bent Bulldog shape that I bought off of E-Bay.
