Just finished a bone dry flake of bulk 1792. Kept it lit but barely. Have 6 ounces of the stuff jarred and stored well, so it might be up for trade bait. Just can't get into it and there are way too many tobaccos that I enjoy much more. Now for a bowl of 1Q to enjoy a bowl of tobacco again.

Be careful what you wish for, as you just might get it.

Currently, continuing the break-in of the Christmas pipe: Escudo in an Invicta Dublin. Even with UK shipping, I think Invicta Briars are among the best value pipes out there. Have two. Will be acquiring more.

Heading out into the cold for some Superior Round Slices...one last chance before I put this blend down for good. It's just too (how do I say this? This is why I suck at doing reviews) ...green tasting. Very much of the grassy taste, and it just doesn't agree with me (or I with it).

Smoking Solani Silver Flake (folded and stuffed)in a big Pete System 312 right now. Just finished a rubbed out flake of the same in a Thompson bulldog meer and can't say which I like better. Both bowls were sampled from the same dried flake and both are quite tasty. Nice stuff.

Since I was here last, I smoked a bowl of John Patton Virginia Squire in a 1970s smooth straight grain Savinelli Oom Paul Non Pareil 9504. Now, its the last of the FVF sample I got from from a friend in a 1980 smooth slight bend, long stem Prince no name 97, made by Charatan. Sure will miss smoking it, but am grateful for the opportunity.
