We're off to New Orleans in the AM, to become a grandfather. Celebrating a bit with one that I don't often smoke, a Comoys 284 Tradition, with some MM965.

Dunhill EMP in a Bulldog, cold, windy and wet this A.M. reminds me of my days in the UK

Nowhere in the world will such a brotherly feeling of confidence be experienced as amongst those who sit together smoking their pipes

Shoveled several inches of snow. Finished a mailing for the Chicago Pipe Show. Then retreated to the garage for with the pipe I made at the last show in the pipe making seminar, filled with C&D's Autumn Evening.

CD'S STAR OT THE EAST FLAKE IN A NORTHERN BRIAR 'CANADIAN' WHILE THE FIRST SNOW FALLS

After some time he felt for his pipe. It was not broken, and that was something. Then he felt for his pouch, and there was some tobacco in it, and that was something more. Then he felt for matches and he could not find any at all, and that shattered his hopes completely.

So far today it's been ODF in a Sasieni Ruff Root rhodie and Byzantium in a rusticated Peterson Kinsale XL 26. Tonight it will be more Byzantium in a Peterson Darwin smooth standard system pipe.
