Smoking my beloved new star in my rotation: Kieler Freu(n)de Alte Hase (it's a pun: Kiel = city Kiel in north Germany; Freude = joy, FreuNde = friends; Alte Hasen = ~ "old folks", "one of the old school") in my freshly refurbished Real Briar from my eBay lot I got for 2€ per pipe. From a passed grampa the seller told me, so I smoke it with pride and joy, in the spirit of this old man - may he rest in piece pipe heaven.

The tobacco does really well in this very(!) wide bowl, I think it may have to do with the bigger ember? So you actually have ALL components smoldering at the same time i suppose.

I hope pictures are allowed in this thread?

Good lord, what a fine, fine tobacco this is!

Nowhere in the world will such a brotherly feeling of confidence be experienced as amongst those who sit together smoking their pipes
