The wife picked this up for me at a second hand store.The end of it says Bing Crosby with a pat # and has a big filter in it...

In answer to your question I believe you may be a guy whose wife supports his PAD. As for the pipe itself I have no idea it looks nifty though...not sure how I feel about metal stems,never tried one/don't like them much asthetically. It does however vaguely appear(to my inexperienced eyes) to have been designed to have moisture drip into the stem away from the mouth...how's it smoke?

Looks like you have a real rare item. Bing had his pipes made by the original owner of what was to become the Tinderbox in Santa Monica. The later Savinelli's were a tribute to Bing because he like that brand.

Can the bowl on yours be removed?

Wouldn't that be wild if it belonged the man himself! It does look like an early falcon to me but I have never had one so what do I know. :D
