I’m partial to single malt scotch with a few drops of dew from the petals and trying the myriad of craft beer , swmbo and I usually enjoy margs over the summer months and mojitos as the air cools down in the fall ..
What’s yours ?

I prefer a Gin & Tonic with a lime wedge during the hottest months and drink single malt Scotch during the rest of the year, primarily Lagavulin 16, Laphroaig 10 and Highland Park 15 as for blended Scotch, I like Chivas Regal 18.

Quit back in '91 because it was killing me. When I did, though, usually either Bud or Guinness stout. Being a non-practicing alcoholic has its benefits. When you wake up sick in the morning you know you're sick... :)

Prior to a by-pass which seemed to alter my tolerance for spirits, I was a vodka or scotch guy. Since then it has only been red wines.

I hear you. I quit in '90 because I drank like a pig - had my share at a fairly young age. :)

Cappuccino - two every morning. Espresso, Americano, macchiato later in the day. Don't drink alcohol. Had my share and more years ago.

Water, coffee or tea while I smoke. Love red wines and rich creamy and malty ales and various single malt scotches.

Single Malt Scotch, Blended Scotch, Irish whiskeys, Bourbon, Rye, American whiskeys, Japanese, Indian ... I like trying them all and keeping track of the ones I like, including a few Canadians. I haven't narrowed down to any particular style, but have favorites from all categories and price ranges.
I only indulge in the evenings and usually alone, rarely in excess (don't ask me to define "rarely").
I keep tasting notes and do comparisons. I enjoy it quite a bit.

jp - Do you grind beans and make the real stuff? I've got a Nespresso machine which is ok, I guess. I do love a good mocha once in a while.

I'm with you techie. I'm a whiskey guy....in all its shapes and forms. My favorite refresher is an Old Fashioned made with Bulliet Rye. Fantastic stuff.
I don't drink much beer, but when I do, it's either Guinness or Heineken. But if I get my hands on Moosehead.....oh damn....love that stuff.

Gin is the official drink of my House. But I like to have some variety at times, so I do rum, vodka, and bourbon. To-day, I got me a bottle of Canadian Whisky. As long as it's over 40% and it's not cheap vodka, I'll have it for a nightcap. I like to have a pint o' ale with my main meal.
I detest pure water.

A little of everything:

Vitage Port and single malt Scotch top the list though.

Unfortunately, where I live I hardly can afford to buy single malt wiskeys and there by I'm forced to satisfy with blended whiskeys, also I'd favor very much quality ales and beers, German, Czech, and English.
