Recipe:

Three Yellow 7 Pod Super Hot Chilies (cored and seeded)

Stuff with Medium Cheddar Cheese (After all don't want them to be too spicy. )

Wrap each in 1 piece of Applewood Smoked Bacon

Bake for 25 minutes on 350°, then raise temp. to 400° for 10 more minutes to crisp bacon.
Core, stuff, wrap chilies

Mount on tripod of wooden toothpicks

Place in small cast iron skillet

Bake as directed

You'll know when they are done.
Serve to unsuspecting sons-in-law.... :nana:

They knew what they were about to try to eat....

Shame... They couldn't hang with Grandaddy.

Sounds great!!! I never heard of those chilies, but I suppose I can find hot substitutes around here somewhere.

Thanks for the recipe. I love gettin' whacked every now and then. :D

They were really very tasty.

One Son-in-law could only eat 1/4 of his, the other only 1/2...

So... waste not want not.... :D

The peppers really weren't toooooo hot.

But, damn close.

Only about 800,000 SHUs.

I do something similar in that I will marinate shrimp for 30 minutes on pureed chipotle sauce. I raw bacon on a baking sheet. I put the bacon into a 400 degree oven for 12 minutes of so. I remove the bacon and let it cool a bit. I then wrap the bacon around the shrimp and back into the oven for 12-15 minutes. The babies can be eaten as soon as they are cool enough. Even when cool they are HOT!

The wife and myself went to a Thai place the other night. The waitress says "American hot or Thai hot". Well, I like hot and replied "Thai hot". While being very tasty, I learned a lesson...

:worship:

I have seeds and pods coming.

Excellent! I love the Chocolate Habeneros... They are good on salads, and just to munch.

I'm not familiar with the Amish Bush seeds...
Just remember, Peppers are Perennials.

You can grow them 5 gallon buckets (drainage holes in the bottom).

Bring them in during the Winter.

And, when you take them back out in the spring...

Shady area for most varieties. They tend to be tropical plants and have to survive below the jungle canopy.

Make sure to STRESS the plants.

By allowing them to wilt and then over water, (lather rinse repeat) the pods will be much hotter.

It seems to be a defense mechanism to protect the seeds.

They have been described; here as a mater of fact, as weapon's grade peppers.

I guess I'm a boring person. I am medium heat kinda guy (and I like vanilla ice cream too). Oh well.
