It's been a long time since I have not shared with you my last restorations. Here is one that I really liked to make. :D

When you put your eyes on it now, it seems you're looking at the reflect of the big flammed eye of Sauron himself !

Pretty tired "before." Gorgeous after. The grain and shape just glow. And the stem must be new cut?

Totally impressive.

Well done, lightmyfire! The grain on that Vuillard is very interesting, a Flame Cross - Grain, so to speak.
Thank you. We could say that, but more precisely the flames are here on the sides and not on top & basis. I am not sure that we can talk of an academic model, because flames are a bit chaotic, I will make more photos in the hours to come or tomorrow.

Wow, that stem restoration is back from the dead. I'm more than impressed. Vuillard still makes a good

pipe, but it has been bought by one of the larger French pipe makers, I forget which one. My French is

poor, but I think it's pronounced something like Voo-'yard.
