I lucked into this GBD, which was advertised with one picture, and listed as "Vintage Smoking Pipe". The seller send me some additional photos, confirming it was a 9242. While heavily used, it looked solid and I was able to strike a deal with the seller.

I finished the restoration this evening, with full details on the Reborn Pipes site

At 65 grams, it is definitely a chubby Rhodesian!

Another incredible save Al, really nice job. I'm always amazed at the before and after shots of rims.

I don't yet own a Rhodesian shape, but when I eventually do, I'd like it to be just like that one

Great refurb, and what a beauty. You did a great job on the rim - I find bowls like Rhodesians that gain girth at that angle are difficult to get right; take off a few microns too many, and things go south quickly. (Also nice to see a datable GBD for a change!)

Nice save Al. That turned out great.

That baby is a double whammy. Silver band and 9242. You’re killing me over here.

    Make aromatics great again.
