Video Posting Help Please

I don't know what I am doing wrong but I can not seem to post a video on here anymore, I always end up posting a link to click to go to the video. I don't know what I am doing wrong as I used to have no problems. Can someone please help a buddy out. I searched the forum and tried to find an answer but no luck yet. :roll:

If it's YouTube, just copy the url on the top of your screen with the http:// in it and paste it here, it will automatically turn into an embedded video due to the way this site has its coding set up. You don't need to hit any of the buttons to make it work

We have a plugin installed in the forums that will automatically render an embedded YouTube.com video.
However, it only works with the old style url - referred to by YT as the "Long" link.
They more recently created a new shorter link because of character limits on Twitter.
A link like this - youtu.be/blahblahblah - won't work.
One like this will:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?
v=3UIojGDIBvI
(I had to add line breaks so it wouldn't embed.)
Grab the url that is in your browser's address bar rather than the "Share" url YT gives you.

So, use the YouTube.com link and NOT the Youtu.be one.
And just put the link, and NOT the Embed code.

Thanks all, apparently I for some reason decided I needed to over complicate things.
