Not much information is available in Pipedia. I bought this off eBay, possibly from the collection of a private pipe-smoker. The pipe is claimed to be hand-made and unsmoked.
I have posted a couple of pictures given by the eBay seller. In close inspection, I see a few items (All minor)
  • This pipe is between a straight grain or a flame grain. However to carve it with the grain pattern, it is slightly asymmetric and looks a little odd (In person - not in pictures)[/*]
  • Although the pipe has grains throughout (90%+) it still has some bald spots[/*]
  • The stem is rough [/*]
  • I should not have smoked it out of the box. I attempted it as it was unsmoked, and a pipe cleaner (dry) passed without any dust/dirt inside the stem. On smoking, it felt a salty/sour taste for the first few puffs

Good find. I'd like to see the bowel a half inch higher, would seem to give better proportions to a massive wall and shank.
Photos of the nomenclature?
And the first few puffs may have pulled in some of the stain at the top of the chamber.
