I have been smoking my pipe since October... and currently smoking Ashton Revival Pebblecut, Celebrated Sovereign and MacBaren's Vanilla Cream. The first two are great tobaccos, as a novice I find them quite complex :/ However, I do enjoy them. Though sometimes I want a really sweet aromatic that would have an extremely intense sweet flavour. Think of sheesha... Are there any pipe tobaccos out there like that. Almost like the icewines of the wine world :/

Try Peterson's Christmas Season 2011 blend. Very, very sweet intense fruit flavors and aroma.

    Blowin' smoke since 1970.

Although I've never tried it myself, from other's recommendations, Sutliff's Molto Dolce might fill the bill for you. I've heard it is a very sweet toby, and has a great room note.

I also agree that the Petersons Holiday Season is sweet and great aroma. I've been smoking it for about a week now. Nice sweet Christmas tobacco.

The Ashton and Mac Baren blends use the highest quality leaf. Personally I think Paladin and even the Sutliff blends user lower quality tobacco, so if you've become accustomed to the "good stuff" you may not enjoy either. Like going from Moet to Boone's Farm.

Heavily sweetened aromatics may not have the sweet flavor you're looking for. By this I mean they may SMELL great, but because of all the sugar they will burn and taste HOT.

Straight Virginia tobacco has lots of natural sugar, so it will have a more natural sweet taste (though it will still burn hot, so sip it slow).

Not liking the Molot Dolce my hubby picked up.

But as far as aromatics go, I like the 7 Seas line from Mac Baren to satisfy my craving for something sweet.

Altaldis Vanilla Custard. Nothing like any of the other vanillas out there. Tastes as sweet as it smells.

    Altaldis Vanilla Custard

Agree it's sweet - seems to be very goopy for me though.

I also forgot to mention on the vanilla side of things is Peter Stokkeybe's Sweet Vanilla.

Yeah as noted above Molto Dolce is the sweetest Ive smoked and you can taste the sweetness in your mouth for hours after smoking.

I know what I need, smoke, I can't recall the last time I tasted it....Gandalf in the mines of Moria.

"we shall have to share pipes, as good friends must at a pinch'....'I keep a treasure or two near my skin, as precious as rings to me. Here's one: my old wooden pipe. And here's another an unused one...He held up a small pipe with a wide flattened bowl, and handed it to Gimli. 'Does that settle the score between us', said Merry. 'Most noble hobbit, it leaves me deep in your debt."

Does the Molto Dolce have chemical-like taste? I've read some review and some state that the heavily cased tobaccos have a chemical like bite. By the way, does anyone know where I can get some Molto Dolce in Canada. (Toronto)

One of my favorite sweet tobaccos is Pipeworks and Wilke's Vermont Maple Cavendish. As you can tell by the name, it's a maple flavored tobacco and made with top quality ingredients. It's not cheap, at least by pipe tobacco standards, but you get what you pay for.

W.O. Larsen's Signature Vintage Mixture, pretty similar to the Blue Note suggestion above, very fruity flavors. I was reminded of cotton candy and berries by the Signature Mixture.
