Thought I'd share a couple photos of me enjoying my pipes from my balcony on the Carnival Pride while on vacation last week. My family and I cruised out of Baltimore and traveled down to Port Canaveral and Nassau & Freeport in the Bahamas. This first pic is of me breaking in an unsmoked '68-'69 vintage Kaywoodie "Prince of Whales". The second pic is of me smoking one of our Old Dominion "Virginia Planter" corn cob pipes. It was a fun, relaxing vacation, but time to get back making pipes!

Nice its funny, I was watching a travel show the other day and kept thinking, "Oh that looks like a great place to smoke a pipe."

Interestingly, the only places you can smoke pipes and cigars on the cruise ship is either from the balcony of your stateroom and in a designated area on the open deck towards the front of the ship. Found it interesting that in the casino, you are allowed to smoke cigarettes in the "smoking area", but you can't smoke a pipe or a cigar in the same smoking section of the casino.

That looks like fun. Many ships don't allow smoking on balconies at all, unfortunately.

Yep, one of the main reasons for a cabin with a balcony - I've done it in the Mediterranean and Caribbean. There's nothing more relaxing than smoking a good pipe as the ocean goes by!!
