I have been at our modest club meeting the other day, and I had some Orlik Golden Slice with me, bought somewhere in the EU. A fellow piper had a tin of the same blend, but I could tell from the lack of warning labels that it was bought in the US. The guy confirmed that indeed he had the tin from across the pond, and offered me to try a bowl. For some odd reason I was convinced that this was a different tobacco. I mean, it tasted along the lines of the European one, but it felt somehow sweeter and the honey like topping was more forward. Same pipe used on both smokes. Are they using different casings for the product, depending on the market, or is there just something wrong with my tongue?

I think that they use less quantities of casing probably due to EU regulations. It happened to me with Dunhill Ye Olde Signe.
