A dealer at my shop has a Kirsten I'm thinking of buying. Priced reasonable enough. Only problem is I can't get the end cap off. Is there a trick to getting these things un-stuck?

Soak it and use a pencil or something similar to push it out from the inside.

I've dealt with this before and I used a sturdy punch to tap it out. But you have to be careful lest your will damage it. In reality though, there isn't a huge need to remove the end cap You can soak the shaft in alcohol and scrub it out with bristle cleaners well enough. Just my two cents.

Soak it, yes. For a few hours. There's an O-ring securing the cap to the body, you might have to replace that once you get it unstuck, sometimes the baccy juice eats it ..... a proper-sized one from the plumbing section will do.

Remember, a stuck cap is better than a loose cap. As long as the draft hole in the cap is aligned with the same in the bottom of the bowl, you should be fine.
