Twas the day after thanksgiving, and all through the house,

Not an outlaw was stirring, not even my spouse;

My pipes were in waiting, bacci dried with care,

And then a peaceful smoke, was so properly prepared;
Frog Morton married with cob just right,

I sipped, and sipped to my delight;

Thanking the heavens that I had survived that day;

And looking forward to a xmas not far away.

I enjoyed the little ditty myself! Even the reference to the in-laws.
Aha! I see it. The peaceful smoking pipe was a reference to the indigenous peoples smoking of pipes in peace. Nope! That's a real stretch. I see it now, the failure to capitalize the "T" in Thanksgiving. More of a minor faux pas than an insult to anyone.

Yup, just a blunder on my part. It's what happens when I drink too much Port.
