I just smoked my first ever bowl of Troost Special Cavendish, smoked it in my #14 Brog Churchwarden. I have to say I am a bit disappointed, I thought it would have eithe ra little flavor or room note but I detected neither. Anone else out there smoke this that could give me a bit of insight if I am missing something. I did dry it and rub it out a bit before packing the bowl. :(

I also received a free sample. It didn't do to much for me in the first bowl. I jarred it and figured it would be relegated to the back of the open tin rotation.

I tried it a few months later in a cob and liked it. I agree Rothnh that I appreciate that it is pretty much just pipe tobacco (no heavy casing)and I have smoked my way through most of the pouch.

I would jar it and give it another shot in a few weeks see what you think then.
