I use an old zippered camera case. It holds a couple of pipes, accessories and 4oz or so of tobacco.
Check out your local Goodwill store for something suitable.

If you like leather: Charred Ember & Oak they have a variety of pouches. It is hand-crafted to order.

I just have coats/jackets with plenty of pockets, or a day bag when coats are superfluous. Adding a pipe bag to the equation just adds more bulk, more weight, and more expense.

I've said it before, but seriously consider an inexpensive nylon dap bag (like a little shaving and toilet kit) from Walmart or similar source. Why? Because it looks as inexpensive as it is, and it makes a potential thief think it's shaving gear and deodorant, which he or she doesn't particularly want, rather than something nice like a pipe, handgun, camera, or other nice re-sellable object. You can wrap the pipes in a polishing cloth for extra padding and add a tin or baggie of tobacco, pipe cleaners, pipe tool and lighter or matches. I have a beautiful leather carrying case (churchwarden size) but often use the dap kit.

Vegas Baby!!!
After seeing Dread's post about the pouch he grabbed on etsy I bought one. It's perfect for two pipes, lighter, tamp and cleaners and I used a tobacco pouch that my late grandfather had and boom....perfection!!! I threw it in my gear bag yesterday and smoked ten bowls out of the combo and it was perfect. I really like the waxed canvas look and feel.

Anyone tried the Maxpedition Beefy EDC size over the Fatty size? It's a bit bigger. It seems like any of them are too big for a pocket, so why not go a little bigger to fit an extra tin, etc.
The Maxpedition EDC organizers look pretty nice. Good multi purpose gear. For 20+ years my EDC bag has been my old Mountainsmith lumbar pack. I love it, but it's basically just two big compartments. I throw my pipe, tobacco, and other smoking paraphernalia in a couple of Crown Royal bags and toss them in the Mountainsmith.

I have a Beefy on order right now via a certain huge Internet reseller. Having 2 other Maxpedition pouches, I can vouch for their quality. The pocket version I have is used to store a TENS unit with accessories and the beefy is my wife's for whatever she's using it for.

I use this case from Harbor Freight for long trips. I can store 2 8oz wide mouth jars plus accessories and at least 7 pipes with two foam pads I cut from a laptop package. Works really good and no problems with tsa.
