The end of an era. Kids these days cannot experience the pure joy of going to your local record store for that new release LP or to just pore thru the bins.
If you haven't see the documentary on Tower Records, "All Things Must Pass", it's worth your time.

I travel near "Vintage Vinyl" in NJ, and always stop when I'm in the area. These places are few and far between now. The store is in an old grocery store, so it's quite large. I can spend a few hours in there!

Lots of fond memories of the Sunset Strip Tower Store circa 1970's and early '80's. The people working the store were friendly and knowledgeable, the selection was unsurpassed, they had a parking lot (no small thing on the Strip) with attendants to make sure only customers used it. And, of course, the scene around it was wild.

A moment of silence. Also, quite certain kids these days have no interest in experiencing a record store, nobody says record or album anymore and most under thirty have likely never even purchased a CD.

While I never searched for the vinyl, there was a time when used CDs were great which was my era. The window slammed shut on that when Napster happened.

@balkisobrains - I believe Vintage Vinyl also has comics and definitely music-related books. They do a pretty big show on Record Day (which is soon?).
There is also a great record store in Princeton NJ (which is a fabulous town to visit).
