   I can't believe it. I decided to smoke the pipe. And while gently smoking it I heard a
   "KaaaChUNNNK" the stem cracked in a inverted V on the bottom the stem. My first impulse was to toss the sucker...but then remembering it was gift (and my friend's Dad's Pipe) I thought I will just baby till it falls apart. Anyone have any suggestions on fixing it? Or can it be fixed?

   Wow, that sucks. I would have to see a pic to tell exactly what you're describing, but I wonder of a metal repair band would hold it all together ?

   You can band it or glue it.

   I've fixed a friend's meer pipe by carefully wicking in superglue along the crack. We were able to apply some twist to the stummel and open the crack a little to get the glue in.

   Devcon 5-minute epoxy might work, stands up very nice..but again, I'm
   No pipe repair expert here (there are a few US ones like Boswell's that you
   may want to run it by
