So in my short time at pipe smoking I've acquired three different tobaccos to try. First was a cheap cherry that I picked up with the pipe at the drug store. Next was a vanilla my daughter bought for me cuz she's cool like that and last was a blend called Fox & Hound (kind unknown and I didn't ask)I picked up at the local cigar shop to try. This last one smokes clean and nice, but I find the first two before I finish the bowl I'm getting a lot of bitter moisture. Now for my newb question... Does this mean that the tobacco is too moist or is this normal for aromatics?

No, it doesn't always mean the tobacco is too moist and it's certainly not the standard for aromatics. More often than not it means you're smoking too fast, and therefore too hot. If you can't find a proper balance between your pace of smoking and the tobacco, try another blend. In general, the more expensive mixtures tend to burn better.

It could be both. Many aeros do tend to have more moisture than others. try drying it out on a paper towel or under a desk lamp for a bit. i have one that i have to pack the night before and smoke it the next day. and also many aeros while smell great and pleasing to others around may not taste like they smell. if you are sucking moisture up the stem or it gurgles try gently blowing a few puffs to push the moisture back through the draft hole in the bowl. it should help with the bitter taste you are getting especially if its an aero.

If you can't pack it, light it, and smoke it then why do it. It's a dieing art that must be rekindled in all of us as fortold by our forefathers.

Words to live by for all pipe smokers.

Not much to add here. Dry it out, slow it down, maybe run a pipe cleaner through if it gets gurgly and you're good.
