Wow, Teddy. Just wow. That was absolutely beautiful. And oh so very true. We really tend to take for granted the blessings we have in our lives... especially in the time we live in, that so many others in the world still don't experience. We forget that there are other people in the world, who still do not have electricity, or hot or cold running water. We can turn on a computer and have a conversation with someone on the opposite side of the world, while listening to music, and studying science all at the same time, all on the same device. Meanwhile, in our pocket rests a smaller device that can do pretty much the same thing. And all the while we are sitting in a room in our house or apartment, or office, with perhaps a cup of coffee sitting on an electrical device that will keep your coffee warm. If the temperature drops just a hair, the heater comes on, keeping us comfortably warm. And if we so choose we can keep a light on in every room. We can at any time of the day have a warm meal, in a matter of moments, whether we are at home or outside our homes. Or we can have ice cream, and ice cream is a blessing in itself.
We take for granted the beauty in our world. The colors, the smells, the sounds. And just the like in the video said, the sky, always changing. It's never the same from one moment to the next. I personally am a lover of sunsets. Each one is different, and a constantly changing picture of shapes and colors. We take people for granted. Everyone has a story, everyone is different. But we see so many people in the course of any day in our lives, I think we forget that they're not just mindless machines going to and fro from day in to day out.
