If it hasn't come to pass already, the closure of Tobacco Bowl in Iowa City is imminent. The business will renovate its space and try anew as a pizzeria with an arcade and craft beer. Neighbors' complaints of smoke prompted the change.

Sad. I spent a lot of time there in college. Bought my first tobacco pipe from them.

Sad to read that bit of news indeed. Spent plenty of time there while I attended the U of I, and grew up visiting the TB's in the Cedar Rapids area frequently with the old man.
