Selling three Castello #19 is excellent condition.

Unsmoked Castello Trademark ##19 with straight stem. $250

Thiis a gorgeous unsmoked Castello #19 in brilliant red color. I purchased this pipe at the end of the 90's and never smoked it. Unfortunately, some where in a move, I lost the stem. Rich Lewis was able to make a beautiful copy to my specs which was a straight billiard stem. It gives this pipe a very cool and unique look. Just FYI, the pictures make it look more of a pot shape. I am not sure why this is, its a classic #19 billiard.

    Size: (approx)
    Height: 2 1/4 Inches
    Length: 6 1/4 Inches
    Bowl Depth 1 3/4 Inches

    Presmoked Castello Trademark #19 $200

This is a gorgeous presmoked Castello #19 in brilliant red color. I purchased this pipe during the 80's and have smoked maybe a couple of dozen times. Its a classic #19 billiard with the diamond logo. Has some very slight rim darkening but overall, I'd rate it 9.5 out 10. Its a wonderful smoking pipe.

Its a classic #19 billiard with the standard logo and briar/lucite stem. Has some very slight rim darkening but overall, I'd rate it 9.5 out 10. Its a wonderful smoking pipe

Wow, nice pipes, too bad I don't have the coin to spare.

Breathtaking....why do you torment us like this?

And so the problem has come full circle! Seriously though, those are some sweet looking pipes. If I had the spare change to do it I would buy one in half a heartbeat

Thanks all! I'm selling them because my collection is really focused on Englisg billiards so these almost never get smoked. I figured some one else will enjoy them to theirr fullest but if they don't sell, it won't be the worst thing in the world.

Nice pipes. I've been trying to get a Castello for quite a while now.
Really more to see if the extra coin really translates into a better smoking experience.

Well, to be honest, I also want one because I am Italian. I suppose I might as well admit that I secretly really want a nice representative examples from of the differant makers who consistently get my attention.
OK, damn it, I'll come clean...there is also, admittedly, the little problem of me being totally OCD when it comes to collecting...;-)

I need to do some financial projections as I would really like that unsmoked one. Will let you know in a day or two, and if any are still available.

Everybody is a genius, but if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will go through life thinking it is stupid.

Danno, one thing to consider if this or any other high grade is does a $300 pipe smoke 5 times better than a $60 pipe and the answer is no. The bottom line is a good smoking pipe is a good smoking pipe no matter what the cost. If you go into it with that expectation, there will be disappointment. What you will find is a hig grade hand made pipe has a much higher chance of being a good smoker because they use premium hand picked briar and generally are engineered better. That being sails, your also paying for a beautiful hand made thing with little or no flaws. Some people value that, others not so much. I liken it to the same difference between a Hona and a Bimota motorcycle. Both can ride great, but the Bimota has much more build time and unique custom parts whose value can only be determined by the buyer. That doesn't mean the Bimota will ride 6 times better but is it worth it? Hell yes.

Yes! I expect that a Castello would be superbly engineered. I am with you on the 60/300 idea. What I figure is as I think you alluded to. I spend 300 bucks, and I will most likely get a great smoker, great briar which I can definitely taste, and many years of satisfaction. How many 60 buck pipes will I have to go through before I find a great smoker. I contend that in the case of a Castello, I would be ahead of the game. Now, excuse me while I go check the couch for loose change.
