I expect a Chelsea night (all night) would be even better.
LOL Jonesing.
I have some good news about Chelsea.
She is the first "Pipe Babe" that actually smokes a pipe in real life. In those pictures she is smoking her own pipe and her own tobacco.
She is also going to become a bigger part of the site in the future.
I'm not sure on the timing, probably the 3rd of 4th quarter, but you will see Chelsea in videos and maybe doing an article or two.
Excellent, Kevin.
I look forward to more pictures of her and her contributions.
Yes. I would be great to read about the hobby from various women's perspectives.
For a moment there I thought it was actress Shannen Doherty.
Great pictures, and great to see a woman pipesmoker. I hope she joins the site, a woman's point of view on the forums would be GREAT!
First I learn RJ is 10 years younger than I am and not only that… his lovely wife is 10 years his junior. Change threads expecting to read a review on G.L. Pease Chelsea Morning and what do I find but a very attractive auburn haired young beauty with killer blue-gray eyes… I can only take so much so I’m off to satisfy the one desire I can control time for my PAD fix!
She does have amazing eyes! I bet Chelsea has heard that one a thousand times though.
She does look like Shannen Doherty!
She looks like my ex... Just joking and I wish!
FANTASTIC!!!! Definitely not Chelsea mourning by any means!! Besides I have a thing for blue eyed brunettes !
I'll give you one guess who just joined the site.
Ummmmmmmmmmmm? Obama? NAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAW! Chelsea?
Yeah she's now a member... make her feel welcome guys.
And be nice, she's from my home state!
Yeah and for some reason Iowa just doesn't seem so cold anymore.
Gee Phil that kind of reminds me of the story about Beauty and the Beast.
I'm guessing that I'm "Beast"?
LMAO!
Yes, and as jcsoldit and Phil said - I'm sure no one here needs to be reminded to be a gentleman.
Welcome Chelsea.
PS
Please accept my friendship request first....
Because I'm better looking than those other guys.
I'm modest too.
Just kidding we're glad to have you aboard.
Hello everyone. Thank you so much for the kind words. I'm very excited to become a part of this community.
Welcome to the site. Glad to have such a pretty lady aboard.
Welcome Chelsea!
Phil, if she's from Iowa, then you'd better coach her on the nuances of cob smoking -- just so she can be "in character"!
Welcome Chelsea. As you can see, some of us like to pick on Iowans; and Phil's a big target (usually.)
She can have one of my Apple Wood Pipes... Yes I said HAVE!
Phil, I sense that you're about ready for yet another avatar change.
Perhaps you should try this...
Cortez... now that was funny!!!
Forgive them Chelsea for they know not what they do.....
LOL!
I'm off to get a corn cob pipe. Cortez tells me you guys like to give Iowans a hard time. I better not be disappointed.
Visit the Chelsea Morning fan page on Facebook and let me know what you think.
Hey Chelsea... How long have you been smoking a pipe, what tobacco blends do you enjoy, and who got you started?
Many of us had someone, father, grandfather, uncle, or someone else close to us growing up that smoked a pipe, and the smell of good tobacco tempt us into giving it a try.
Hope you don't mind me asking a few questions... you see to appropriately give you a hard time we need to know a little about you or at least what lead you to joining are group.
BTW... Our group has already substantially been improved aesthetically just by your photo.
jscoldit,
My mom sparked my interest when I was younger and she would smoke cigars. I loved the smell and I eventually gave in when I was old enough and bought some. I turned to pipes because I like that you have to slow down, and there is a process to it which makes it that much more enjoyable. It helps me relax. The most recent blend that I have purchased is called Frostbite. You don't just smell it; you feel it. It's really interesting.
Thanks for the questions.
Chelsea,
Your mom… that’s cool, I've known several ladies that enjoyed cigars but you're the first one that admitted she preferred a pipe. I totally agree with you regarding the reasons why.
Thank you for sharing and you can call me JC, most of my friends do.
CM, you can just call me Phil...
JC's making it up that he has friends...
Welcome Chelsea!
Hey Chelsea,
I signed up yesterday.
There are several ladies that frequent the local B&M here that smoke pipes.
They all love them too.
PS
How's the cob doing?
Post a pic on the PAD string for us.
Phil is the Iowan that some of us like to pick on… as you can dish it out as well.
Chelsea is so cool. We are lucky to have her here.
Kevin, yes, certainly. But she's so lucky too. She's got a forum and the support of PM.com to help resist not only the anti-smoking nazi's, but also the stereotype of pipe smoking being exclusively for men.
And while on the topic of ladies smoking pipes, check out my comment in Fred's Clay Pipes Thread
Cortez. You are right. I am very lucky to have found a community of people who share in similar interests. I really appreciate this opportunity and I would love to stick around as long as you guys will have me.
Also, now I really want to try one of these pipes!
We're glad to have you.
You've added a sparkle to the site.
Well yes she has...
Chelsea, you should be glad you don't know what we all REALLY look like... The sparkle in your eye would quickly fade…
Only Phil is , well you know . We just all try and be nice . LMAO
Igloo... Remember, I have your address...
I think someone already mentioned "Beauty and the Beast"
Reminds me of my courtin days .
she looks nice. nice to see someone my age giving the pipe a try also. I know they are out there, just hard to come-by.
Hey Chelsea, when did you pose for this picture?
ma'am, glad to see an atractive woman who smokes a pipe. you sure do shatter thw mammy yokum steriotype.
btw, i am from wisconsin now stuck in kalifornia.
women who smoke cigars and pipes are hot. could you convince my wife to so she will be even hotter?
I think that meerschaums and clays are more complimentary to the image of a lady pipe smoker. A briar would have to be really fanciful to have a complimentary effect. About 35 years ago I purchased a couple of rhinestone-studded briars for a lass I was dating. Although they effeminized the pipes adequately (you wouldn't catch me smoking them), they looked merely "OK".
Dunno Cortez My Aunt Ollie smoked a cob till it killed her , At 97
