Hmmm. Too many to choose from. But I like what color she made her hair.

I know that you believe you understood what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

    Ok, let me clarify:

All mother-in-laws must be vacuum packed AND dated.

Peck, I’m sure that you’ve dated your mother-in-law already. Right?

    Welcome, gentlemen!

Let’s start posting our holiday dreams. What’s your favor? I’m open for trying anything other than goopy aromatics. And I’m ashamed ro say that I’ve never tried the codger blends like Half and Half, Carter Hall or Prince Albert. So I’m a cheap date.

    How about you?

I'm not big on goopy aromatics, but I get around otherwise. I love plugs and have been on a huge burley kick of late. Deertongue and oddities are always fun.

I've met very few tobaccos I didn't like. Aromatics are ok, but I'm not into really heavy fruity flavors or goopy/soggy tobaccos. My ultimate dream would be a good top-tier VA. I've heard that GLP and C&D aren't the best Virginias out there, but I'm not sure who's making the really top-tier stuff with McClelland gone. But really anything would be nice. I also smoke a lot of English blends and know my way around a good burley (codger or otherwise).

Lately I've been smoking a lot of English blends. Being a new smoker (7 months) there are so many English blends I haven't tried. I'm willing to try anything.

I am a fan of dark and red Virginias, orientals, VaPers, and some Burley Blends. Not really an aro guy, with the exception of Exotic Orange and Butternut Burley. I'm always looking for a great Flake!

You are clearly the best pipe smoker in Baku, and indeed, in all of Azerbaijan. May you find a mate or two!

As to my druthers, I am purely English/Balkan. I have tons of Smyrna and Bengal Slices, Father Dempsey, many Pease blends, many Dunhills, Margate and aged Penzance.(though no fresh Penzance).

I’m a big fan of flakes, plugs and ropes, but when it comes to pipe tobacco I’ll try anything that isn’t a PG laden aromatic.

I’ve been looking for a replacement for GQ’s Christmas aromatics since Glynn stopped blending. I’ve had no luck. Happy to try something in this vein if the tobacco isn’t a goopy PG laden yuck fest.

Pat, I’m a fan of the “My Own Blend” winter aromatics. They don’t cellar well, probably due to the lack of PG glue holding the flavorings in place, but they are enjoyable.

I enjoy most all tobacco's. I just have too many aros in my cellar I'm likely never going to get to so I'd ask not to get more. I go with straight VA's or VAPers so they can age a bit before trying.

Tim in with the spirit of the season.

I'm always happily surprised by what I get, but the real enjoyment of the Secret Santa for me, like Tim, is giving. Like the year I gave it to Peck. I'm still enjoying that.

34! That's better, but what about the rest of you? Aren't some of you dying to get your hands on some out-of-production McClelland? Who knows what the generous souls here might be gifting in the Spirit of the Holidays! If you don't play you lose. Giving is the gift that keeps on giving.

I think we all would love to taste some out of production McClelland goodness, but what does one with a fully stocked cellar hope for? More of what you know you like or simply a surprise?

Giving is the gift that keeps on giving.
I take that as a given.
what does one with a fully stocked cellar hope for?
I like to think that I have a fully stocked cellar, but then I get a blend that I realize is very common (because so many people love it) and I've never tried it (maybe because I'm a snob), and it turns out to be the perfect gift. That's how I got my first tin of Frog Morton!

But, like Tim, my enjoyment really comes from giving. And from hosting this crazy scheme (Thanks, Pruss!)

One with a fully stocked cellar doesn't worry about it. That's why one has a full stocked cellar. But one can enjoy a surprise tin of Chateau Guano, or bring it to a pipe club meeting and pass it around to people who might enjoy it. For one with a fully stocked cellar, it's about giving and sharing.
