Well it wasn't me, but I'm in the same boat as you lately with the 'Bay. No luck at all.

Matt. I'll have my House the same as my metal and my coffee, thanks.

That's a great looking pipe. Too bad you missed it! Try eSnipe if you don't want to miss another great deal.

Perhaps next time you will win something you like even better. That is normally my experience when I loose an item I have bid on.

Mike, you stole that Sav Auto for 35% or so of actual value -- congratulations and welcome to PM Forums.

Hans, that's too bad. But cheer up, there's always be another pipe like you want, eventually.

Mike, welcome to the forums and that has to be the best first post ever. I didn't expect anyone to admit they were the one that got that deal. Neat!

    Cheers!

@rotschefeller The crazy thing is I typed in Savinelli Autograph pipe Dublin Freehand in Google image and saw a picture and was like that's my new pipe and then saw this thread and since I haven't joined any forums yet I decided to join this one

@rothnh I have been watching Ebay like a hawk for 2 months strait for the right one. never thought i would have ever bought one so early in my pipe smoking career.
    Sorry again hans

Dear mike, I hate you. Just kidding. I only my hate myself for literally sleeping in this.
I will cry into my cobs for the rest of the night.

I saw that other pipe too. It is in much worse shape and MUCH more expensive just to start the auction.

Mike, check out the "Latest Discussions" above the most recent threads section on the Forums Home Page. Look for "Sticky" Posts on both the Avatar and how to post pictures (the folks here are big on pictures LOL).

    Good luck

That is a beautiful Autograph and one heck of a deal. It it a filter pipe? (non filter Autographs have vulcanite stems, filters switched to Acrylic). From the tooth indentions on the 2nd pipe, they appear to be vulcanite. Owning an Autograph is on my wish list, enjoy that one (and welcome!).

    I know that feel, bro.

I had my eyes on a Sav Capri Root Briar, I think it was a 121EX shape. It was gorgeous. Nearly unsmoked and in amazing condition. I also missed my alarm to snipe it out, and it went for $30!!!!

Now, although it's not as fun, I'll set max bids. It's definitely not as fun, and can hurt what I'll call "sniping plays" but sometimes it's the only option

@Al I'm not sure if its a filter pipe or not as the seller never specified in the description either one will be fine as I'm not a clincher.

@Hans for a pretty penny Haha but really ill be keeping an eye out for you.

What a great deal on that Sav, well done Mike and welcome.

Hans, I feel your pain. Last month I was watching an Eltang and totally spaced. It went off at 250.00 which was a steal. His usually go for 500.00 and up even used. It was the first one I had ever seen that was smooth that went that cheap.
