You are an outstanding artist! I like to paint miniatures in my off time, and as proud of them as i am, I wouldn't say they are art of this caliber.
Glad you enjoy the images. I used to paint miniatures. Role playing games never really stuck with me but I love the art work and fantasy in general. Friends of mine were into Warhammer. Awesome imagery from that camp. I used to paint their miniatures and once in a while paint one for myself.
Sometimes my brain works too fast, sometimes I am just so fascinated with a particular set of images that I can't stop playing with them, sometimes I abandon previous versions, sometimes I show them as a set or incorporate several into a tryptych...etc. I can't stop frigging with these engine photos.
Nice. Most of them have a Rorschach-esque flavour. I see pelvis, bats and butterflies everywhere.
Great stuff ohin3!

What talent, I couldn't come up with stuff like that even if I was on a acid trip.

Really Cool Pics !!!!!

Those last two are very cool again...fractal in nature...brings to mind the Mandelbrot Set:
What about them brings the Mandelbrot Set to mind?
What about them brings the Mandelbrot Set to mind?
Just the fractal quality. When I think fractal, I tend to immediately think of the Mandelbrot Set.

Nice.
Glad you dig it Mike. Jumped right off the screen at me and I knew it was done. These photos of the Halifax harbour at night are proving to be quite fruitful.
When I saw the colors in that one I instantly thought of a blanket that my parents brought back from a trip to Mexico years ago. It's cool how art can trigger different emotions, memories, etc. all depending on the viewer.
Ah yes the beauty of subjectivity. I must say that I noticed the classic mexican weaving pattern a few times while frigging with these photos.

To me that looks both futuristic and old.
Amazing work Phil!
Love it. Need this post updated with more art more often!
conJunction is rather neat, fills me with a deep sadness.

Wow! Those are really cool! I like the angles! Thanks for sharing!
Wow! I feel like i know you that much better. These are really, really great! I'm glad I checked this thread. I've always enjoyed your posts on here. Now, I REALLY hope you e-mail me when you come to Cleveland, Phil!
I will get a hold of you. Might be home some time this summer. Glad you enjoy the images. Havent had a lot of time to shoot lately so haven't been updating as much.
I too just discovered this from the "What Does Everyone Like to do While Smoking" thread. Cool stuff! I gotta ask now, are you a big Escher fan? I am and I feel some Escher in a lot of these. Keep 'em coming.
I am a fan of some Escher works but I wouldn't call myself a big Escher fan. Glad you enjoy the images.

I see a robot dog in that last one. (Drail) Excellent!
HA!!! It is actually another manipulation of the same job site photo that "ID" was made from. I think it was a photo of the underside of a concrete deck with a hole in it for passage of bx cable. That might even be an iPhone photo.

I just stumbled across this thread. There is some VERY cool stuff in here man. I really like the surreal looking stuff. I find it to be creepy, but cool/arty.
I am thinking that some of these would make awesome album covers.
Excellent work!
Glad you dig them paintedklown. Yeah I do a lot of work for musicians.
More smoke:

I, too, just happened upon this thread. I must say that you have quite a bit of talent. Very moving work, sir. Respect.
I especially like that last one, "everywhere". Probably my favorite of any of them thus far.
And still more smoke.
