The Old Lady, Sir Hubert, Treebeard, the scooter, and the wrong damn beer. I guess the waitress don't hear so good, but what the hell. It was cold and the wife was buying....

Yeah junk that SE Crap. S&S all the way! I ride a Triumph, but if I ever went back to HD it would be a Dyna, like an old FXR.

I can roll a hundred easy with the cam and carb/intake (200 main jet). But I don't care for the popping that the donut ends up giving you on the stock CV. Plus, the performance potential of the S&S at the bottom end (where I will use it the most, as it is kind of difficult doing 100 mph with 18" hangers) is pretty damn sublime.

I don't get to wind mine up too much here in AL.

Too many Troopers.

However; I was clocked at 127 (with radar) on the back-stretch on the Talledega Motor Speedway a few years ago. The War Department will never know... Shhhh. :D The turns are terrifying. You just drive straight into them, wide open (no leaning). If you do you will end up on the apron in a heartbeat. The Harley Davidson test facility is located there. The H.D. test riders told us that you need 115 minimum to stay in the second lane... 85 in the bottom lane.

These guys were supervising the ride, all around the track... "side saddle" one lane higher than everyone else.

It was the Bikers for Babies Charity Ride... They will have another one this coming Saturday. Circa hundred mile ride, 3 laps on the tri-oval, and your picture w/bike in Victory Lane. All with about a thousand of your closest riding buddies... Wish I could go. :crying:

:puffy:

I can tell ya a thing or two about troopers. My wife's question was "So How's a faster bike (I'm looking at a Ducati 1098) going to keep you out of jail when the one you have already threatens to put you there?" My answer? "Easy. I plan to take it to track days where the money I would pay in tickets, I can spend to do 150mph legally." I also plan to get a pigtail for my Escort radar detector on the bike, but I didn't mention that.
