I don't get to wind mine up too much here in AL.
Too many Troopers.
However; I was clocked at 127 (with radar) on the back-stretch on the Talledega Motor Speedway a few years ago. The War Department will never know... Shhhh. :D The turns are terrifying. You just drive straight into them, wide open (no leaning). If you do you will end up on the apron in a heartbeat. The Harley Davidson test facility is located there. The H.D. test riders told us that you need 115 minimum to stay in the second lane... 85 in the bottom lane.
These guys were supervising the ride, all around the track... "side saddle" one lane higher than everyone else.
It was the
Bikers for Babies Charity Ride... They will have another one this coming Saturday. Circa hundred mile ride, 3 laps on the tri-oval, and your picture w/bike in Victory Lane. All with about a thousand of your closest riding buddies... Wish I could go. :crying:
