My father gave me his father's lighter for Christmas this year. It's a Ronson. He served in the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He retired from the Air Force a Master Sergeant after twenty two years of service. His family were immigrants from Czechoslovakia. And he was a smoker. I didn't know much about him, and anytime my father passes something down to me I get insanely excited.

The lighter itself needs some repair work. I need to get a fill of butane for it. Any suggestions on what to get? Fluid and flint?

Harris turned onto Corona flints, much better than standard flints, Butane needs to be the 5 times refined , cleaner and won't gunk up your lighter. That is a wonderful thing to have enjoy.

Great gift! I like the Ronsons. Never had a butane model though.

You know how lighters are... they disappear sometimes. Use that one only at home where you know it's safe.

What a wonderful gift. Too bad it reminded me that I'm old enough to be your grandfather (if I'd started young).

Corona flints (if you can find them) and Xikar butane.

A wonderful gift indeed sir. I know you're proud of, as you should be.

    I'm not complaining.
