I spoke to Marty this evening and we have one box out and the one I have . The one I have will be going to Bubbadrier , Wallbright then to Hobie1dog to be held until the other box shows up . We as a group have the following members in the pass . Bubbadrier, Wallbright , Hobie1dog , Duncan ,Lordnoble ,Onizuka , Jship079 , Collindow ,itrav3nwood and myself the Igloo . That is ten people . If you have not sent your info to Hobie1dog or myself , please send it . If you would like to withdraw or add your name please let us know now . You must be active in the forums and a phone number is required .The package should be tracked US mail is cheaper . The names on this list are the ones that showed interest by posting , if you do not see your name please post below .

The names were taken from the earlier thread when it was asked who still had interest . If you are a newer member your name may be placed farther down the list to recieve the box . If you have already recieved a older box and passed it on it is assumed that you are trust worthy and more likely to send the box back out . If you are contacted it may be mean someone has dropped off the list or the order had to be changed and not a stab at you . If your name is on a older list you will have to express interest again to be included .

I would be interested but I'm not sure how it would work shipping to and from Canada. If customs slap on duty and the taxes ect. Paying shipping is fine but if it gets hit with duty and stuff I might be better off just buying different tobaccos myself.

I haven't heard anything from Brazz(Kevin) yet, so I can skip him and send to lordnoble next if we want. Any suggestions?

I don't know why I don't come up on the members list, I think I'm still a member.
Since I'm getting in on this so late I'll skip this go around but I don't want to be kicked off the list I'd like to jump back in at some point. Is there any problem w/ that. Thanks for thinking of me guy's looking forward to hear where I stand w/the pass.

You have to use the persons real name to find them on the members list. For some reason you can not search for them using their screen name.

It is another one of those software glitches that we don't understand either. There is no way to change it as far as we know.

I guess a thread could be started where everyone posts their real first name.

All you have to do is go to the home page then add on to the url after .com ...

    For example:

Well I got the box!! Apparently I got it yesterday and the wife threw it into the extra bedroom/man cave and thought I would find it!

Sorry for the crappy photos! My camera is with my brother in another town.

Wow there were alot of blends for me to try! I transferred about a bowl of each blend I wanted to try into a new baggy and then threw in these...

The baggies on the left are the majority of the Hearth and Home blends (you guys can thank Russ for those!). Then some sutliff private stock tins (maple street, great outdoors, and westminster), 2oz. of Sterling tobacco's Sweet Briar, and a small baggy of Black Cordial.

It should be on its way to Wallbright later today! Wallbright send me your address!

HOLY S#!T!!!! I just opened the "One & Only New Box" and found a ton of tobacco I've never tried in there! I'm taking pictures and organizing so you can see how much was in there! I'll take pictures of my additions before I send it on.

Hobie, let me know who I should send it to next...

As I said in the "What're you smoking?" thread, this Christmas Cookie blend is good. I'm buying some of this blend from Boswell's soon. I can already tell this is going to be a favorite of mine. It's an aromatic that's not heavily cased, but retains many qualities in terms of flavor of an aromatic. This box pass will kill my bank account...

The old box made it's way back to me and now I sent it off today, all the way back across the country to bhpdrew in Washington state, sometimes it gets a little expensive on the shipping ( 17.83 ), but I think it's worth it, I love Box Pass's

I also got figuring up the 40 dollars or so that I've shelled out on shipping and I've got to sample over 40 new blends, so it's really a good deal to be able to try that many blends out for that monetary amount.....hell, I go to my local B&M and spend 12.00 or so every week trying out a new tin, and 1/2 of the are just not to my liking.

I'd like to see some Gowith blends in the box next time, and Rattray's too.

Yeah, Gawith blends would be nice, but I'm stoked to try the McCranie's blends you put in there. I'm off all next week, so I'll be smokin' up a storm in the garage Should be fun experimenting with new stuff. Hopefully, I'll have a new pipe to smoke the new blends in.

As would I but, I think Imma go with the old try out a few first and let my tastebuds get a little more normalized before I jump in with both feet. That'll also give me a bit more time to try out a few different tobacs from around here to give myself an idea of what I do or don't like all that much PLUS... gimme some samples to add to the box once it gets here...

I look forward to being added in the next few months.

I just equate it to smoking cigars. I spend about $12 a day two to three days a week and that is if I am only smoking a cigar or two. With the pipe tobacco you can get a hell of a lot more smoking minutes out of $12. So if I spend $10 on shipping but got to sample 4 ounces or whatever that is about 32 bowls for me give or take a few. Furthermore, at atleast 30 minutes to an hour a bowl, depending on the size, that is 16 hours of smoking time. Which for $10 is a hell of a deal. Especially since with cigars that would be about 21 cigars and at $7-10 a cigar that would cost me $147-$210. (I am not a math major so I hope all of this math adds up lol). Anyways, that is money well spent and I would pay to ship the box pass any day.

Hey guys, I got the box today.

This box is gigantic - look at it! That's a 100 DVD spindle. I could probably fit that x4 in the box!

So much tobacco, I don't know where to start.

There was so much tobacco I had to use TWO pictures.

Looks like the old shipping cost was about $15 to send out. I'm going to go pick up a flat rate box to see if it's less expensive. I'll MAKE IT FIT!

    OK,
So I'm gonna send this bad-boy out to surfmac. Here's my takes and puts:

    Takes:
    small 2ish-bowl samples of:
    Bayview Tobacco - Rum
    McCranie's Highland Mixture
    McCranie's Quail Run
    McCranie's Red Ribbon
    McCranie's Somerlied
    McCranie's Southern Cream
    Pipes & Cigars' Carmello
    Pipes & Cigars' Cocoa Cream
    Pipes & Cigars' Trout Stream
    Skandanavik Full Aroma
    Sterling Bargain Blend

And .4 oz of Sterling Tobacco's Sweet Briar

    My puts are as follows:
1.5 oz Prince Albert (for those who haven't tried it)

1.5ish oz IRC Three Star Blue (I've gotten several pouches of this in my orders from Iwan Ries. It's a decent smoke with a nice room-note)

2.6 oz Dunhill's Standard Mixture (Since this is bulk Dunhill, my guess is it pre-dates the big "Dunhill Drought" from a year or two ago. It's a very good medium English. In the same vein as PS English Luxury. I put it in the box for those that may not have access to some of Dunhill's older bulk blends)

1.0 oz Dunhill's Elizabethan Mixture (This is a good VaPer. Right up there with Escudo IMHO. Again, I put this in for those who want to try a blend that is no longer available)

0.4 oz Mac Baren's Black Ambrosia (A good aromatic that isn't covered with PG and smokes really well in a cob.)
