I've spent the last half hour in the middle of a phone exchange with our whacko neighbors. She wants to leave him, he's calling to get her to come back. Life is grand!

I'm doing well sore though trying to work out everyday before i leave for bootcamp...moms in the hostpital should be released in a few days. She fainted and hit her heard and her heart was beating irregularly. She was really dehydrated. It's not the first time. Though it was pretty scary.

Tearing apart the daughters Equinox will not stay running with a engine knock and no codes . There goes my mad money . Only had to use two sizes a 10mm and 13mm to get to the top of the block and heads .Probably a head gasket but will go all the way with new pistons and rings and have the heads done . Smoking a Dr G so I can chew the hell out of the stem .

Was there coolant in the oil or vise versa? is it a lower engine knock or an upper engine knock? Did you run a comp. test?

No , I think it is sucking water into the cylinder and trying to hydro lock it . I had fuel pressure at rail and it held steady at 50lbs .Upper rad hose is colasped and I found lots of alumimum in the heads after the valve covers were removed . Knock is a lower engine and gets louder with rpm . I can make it run if I by pass the knock sensor . There is the smell of fuel in the water . But no oil contamination . I will tear it all the way down as the shavings need to come out of the block anyway . She claimed it just did it and was only about a half mile from home and was smart enough not to try and keep driving it .I kinda like things better when they give a code to point the way or just plain blow up so to speak . Roker arms are all good and the push rods are still straight . I was hoping for a pulled rocker stud .

Sounds like you got a lot of work to do. At least she was smart enough not to frag the engine. If there were metal shavings on top of the head it ain't gonna be cheap.

1:18 just got done talking on the phone with an old friend. Looking at bulldog pipes and smoking margate blend out of my new stanwell 255 sandblast. Listening to some classic jazz vocals with my Persian cat on my lap.
