I'm on my phone, too. Still sick but I have a hot drink in hand waiting for medicine to kick in. Still couldn't smoke today but I had some mentholated snuff to open the sinuses.
I'm up listening to frankenstorm. Doesn't seem all that bad to me.
Up again at 12:00 AM, not looking forward to another shitty nights sleep

Lately I have more energy after 11pm then I do at 3pm. Sucks.

I'm calling out any lurkers tonight to register and start posting...yeah, that's right. I'm talkin' to you!
Wow I made the list.
Watching the World Series of Poker. The final three are taking forever -- at this rate, they'll be at it all night. But did find a Ferndown I might grab ... have to call with some questions in the AM.
Relaxing with a hot drink. If I'm not better by tomorrow I'm going to the doctor.

II. Temples of Syrinx (4:33)
We've taken care of everything
The words you read, the songs you sing
The pictures that give pleasure to your eyes.
It's one for all and all for one
We work together, common sons
Never need to wonder how or why.
We are the Priests of the Temples of Syrinx
Our great computers fill the hallowed halls.
We are the Priests, of the Temples of Syrinx
All the gifts of life are held within our walls.
Look around at this world we've made
Equality our stock in trade
Come and join the Brotherhood of Man
Oh, what a nice, contented world
Let the banners be unfurled
Hold the Red Star proudly high in hand.
We are the Priests of the Temples of Syrinx
Our great computers fill the hallowed halls.
We are the Priests, of the Temples of Syrinx
All the gifts of life are held within our walls.
III. Discovery (6:47)
What can this strange device be?
When I touch it, it gives forth a sound
It's got wires that vibrate and give music
What can this thing be that I found?
See how it sings like a sad heart
And joyously screams out its pain
Sounds that build high like a mountain
Or notes that fall gently like rain.
I can't wait to share this new wonder
The people will all see its light
Let them all make their own music
The Priests praise my name on this night.
IV. Presentation (10:16)
I know it's most unusual
To come before you so
But I've found an ancient miracle
I thought that you should know
Listen to my music
And hear what it can do
There's something here as strong as life
I know that it will reach you.
Yes, we know, it's nothing new
It's just a waste of time
We have no need for ancient ways
Our world is doing fine
Another toy that helped destroy
The elder race of man
Forget about your silly whim
It doesn't fit the plan.
I can't believe you're saying
These things just can't be true
Our world could use this beauty
Just think what we might do.
Listen to my music
And hear what it can do
There's something here as strong as life
I know that it will reach you.
Don't annoy us further!
We have our work to do.
Just think about the average
What use have they for you?
Another toy that helped destroy
The elder race of man
Forget about your silly whim
It doesn't fit the plan!
V. Oracle: The Dream (13:58)
I wandered home though the silent streets
And fell into a fitful sleep
Escape to realms beyond the night
Dream can't you show me the light?
I stand atop a spiral stair
An oracle confronts me there
He leads me on light years away
Through astral nights, galactic days
I see the works of gifted hands
That grace this strange and wondrous land
I see the hand of man arise
With hungry mind and open eyes
They left our planets long ago
The elder race still learn and grow
Their power grows with purpose strong
To claim the home where they belong
Home to tear the Temples down...
Home to change!
VI. Soliloquy (15:58)
The sleep is still in my eyes
The dream is still in my head
I heave a sigh and sadly smile
And lie a while in bed
I wish that it might come to pass
Not fade like all my dreams...
Just think of what my life might be
In a world like I have seen!
I don't think I can carry on
Carry on this cold and empty life
My spirits are low in the depths of despair
My lifeblood...
...spills over...

The song 2112 was based on the novel The Fountain Head Published in 1943 written by Ayn Rand. It's a story about a man named Howard Roark, Architect. If you do read the book, it will certainly change your life forever. Ayn died in 1982.
The midnight hour is my time to relax with my nightly cup of leftover coffee. I check my blogs and lose another round of chess while new age music fills my head phones. no pipe at this time for I smoke severl bowls each day as I work outside.

I just ordered some Lebkuchen and yummy treats from the German Deli. If you like German food you need to check them out. I have rediscovered so many memories from there.

Red Paramour in Pholmann Canadian, cold beer, backing clocks for time change. The old cajun
Howdy all. Enjoying the last of this tin of Black Shag, just enough to fill a 33 year old Peterson Meer saddle-stemmed pot.
Erinmore in a bent Upshall, another cold beer , will start wine when it gets a little colder, I like a Shariz. The old cajun
I like Shiraz as well -- has a real tannin/peppery taste -- goes great with steak or roast beef.
Dr told me I couldn't"t drink with all the meds I take for cancer, so I did the only thing I could do, I changed Doctors. The old cajun
Erinmore in a bent Upshall
Just finished a bowl of the same, since I am new to pipe smoking it is nice to see some one else who enjoys this tobacco.
Welcome, Helm! I, too, enjoy Erinmore Flake. Nothing else quite like it and I always have some tins of it in the cellar.
Finishing up some of Jack Peterson's (Sterling Tobacco, Doylestown, PA) 1776 Tobacco Company Musket Blend in an old Peterson Meer. Bed soon though.
Check the signature boys. Slogging through my entry for NaNoWriMo this year. 20% done with three days in. I just got done with my first marathon writing session and my eyes are burning. I am not taking a smoking sabbatical while working this year. Didn't smoke today though. Will keep everyone posted as the month goes on as to when I'm gonna finish.

Vanilla cream in my Pipa Croci Bent Egg

Ok, it's official.....what is going on in that world war Z movie.
Loved the book, Love Zombies.....but am so confused
Of course I will still go see it, but couldn't they call it something else?
I'm here too. Love this first song (baron will like it) and it's set to US Cobras blowing shit up.
Ok, it's official.....what is going on in that world war Z movie.Loved the book, Love Zombies.....but am so confused
I was at first, too. I thought that using the swarming high-speed zombies would undermine the book. Brad Pitt (who stars and produced the movie) did too, but from what I've read, they kept to the book's storyline where the UN guy (Pitt) is travelling to different parts of the world getting stories about the war. I know for sure the battle of Yonkers will be a big part.
If they kept to the book, then I am looking forward to geeky japanese sword slayer and blind ninja dude.....Yonkers is gonna be good to.
It still doesn't matter if it is close to the book or not, I will watch anything with zombies in it..
My theory, and I like to think it is pretty sound, is that any movie ever made would be better with zombies. Good example, imagine Gone with the Wind....with zombies
I'm the same way. I was on a page for Sons of Anarchy and they asked what would be a great crossover. I told them Walking Dead. Zombie bikers!
12:53 AM. Still wide awake and craving a bowl of Penzance

No pipe tonight. Had a nose full of Viking Peach snuff instead.
Snuff and pipe....sounds like a good mix to me.
Must be said that I have never done snuff, so take the above with a rather large dose of.....well something.
Yavuz was here ..
Got home a little while ago from watching Skyfall, had a smoke with my clay before the movie, and drove home with it in my teeth on the way home. I may start doing this for all of my drives.
Smoking Frog Morton On The Bayou in my Edward's canadian right now. I get my first pay check from my new job on friday and am trying to decide what to buy. Haven't bought myself anything in a long while and am very excited!
Oh sweet! I made the list tonight. Working the night shift again

So I have a spot opened up in my masons. and I'm thinking of crackin open the groosemore...that I've had for 3 yrs.
I just got done racking some mead , which turned into a nightmare...so I'm gonna sit back and give my unbiased objective view on this strange blend...if i can.
Join the conversation if ur on fellas.
There's been some chat about Grousemoor here this week. Definitely an acquired taste. Not for me sad to say. I hope your experience is different than mine
Never had grousemoor. I've had Condor which is a lakeland flavor, though.
I think Grousemoor is accurately described as a "Lakeland light" blend. IIRC (it's been a long time), Condor is a lot more "in your face."
Well, off to bed. Y'all have a great night!
