Here's something brand new from a band on my label. The Porridgeface is the bastard child of classic thrash, like Voivod, Kreator, Sodom, and Megadeth. He's one pissed-off Swede!

One of my favorites, and not as expensive with absinthe legal again. Herbsaint and pernod never did it for me, too sweet. Tonight I'm going old school, half cognac half rye

    Baron loves absinthe

Does a culture based on separation and competition, of scientific sophistication and mideval religion, offer happiness even as it ravishes the Earth that sustains it?

Yes I do! I have a Verte from Ridge Distillery, within arms reach as we speak! American Absinthe is on the map! It is very close in quality to my favorite Swiss creations LaClandestine and Duplais.

I like St. George. It has a scent that reminds me of chamomile. Great creation and I think the first All-American Absinthe! I wish they hadn't had to change the label, but they sell it at a local store here.

Still haven't tried absinthe but I did just enjoy my first whiskey tonight. I have obviously drank whiskey before but never understood the "hype" or found the flavor. A friend of mine recently went to Ireland and brought me back a 6 bottle sampler from Jameson's Distillery, 2 bottles each of original, Crested Ten, and 12yr reserve. I tried the Original first in a tall wine type glass to concentrate the aroma, poured over three rocks. It was a very great experience. I enjoyed it so much and I was in tasting mode so I opened the Crested Ten which is a distillery special to my knowledge and enjoyed it in the same fashion for comparison. Crested Ten was much more full bodied the oak really came through and it was very smokey and a little more pepper to the taste. I will certainly be keeping a bottle of regular on hand from now on and never letting my friends buy me "shots" of Jameson again...the fools. I also now know why my grandfather enjoyed Jameson's on the rocks so much and it's not just because of our last name.

When I drink almost any Whiskey, it's over 3 pieces of ice, or totally neat. The ice does cool stuff with the oils and flavors. It's my favorite way to enjoy. The only difference is Scotch. Either neat, 1 cube or a splash of spring water.

Good evening Baron. It doesn't appear as though the full night crew has arrived yet. I'm smoking Mick McQuaid's Ready Rubbed in the smallest MM Corncob that I've gotten to date. Its a about a 3-4 minute smoke and the only way I can handle the stuff. I've smoked some high nic blends but this stuff is "buckle up and hang on..."

Be careful what you wish for, as you just might get it.

My word count reset a few weeks ago since the competition is getting ready to roll around again. I don't think Ill have my current novel done in time to start a new one for the competition, and you have to start from scratch when you enter. This year, I'm going full blown campy horror/slasher type novel, really just poking fun at pop culture and writing something so absurd that it keeps me engaged throughout the competition. Im also hoping to beat my record from last year and finish in less than 13 days.

I'm published on createspace and I sell about a book a week between the two of them. Between those and my music, I get checks that trickle in. Not enough to make a living, but It's good little extra now and then. The overhead is way less on the books than the music. If I was smart Id say to hell with music and just write.

Just got done with a giant bowl of Billy Budd in my Sav 320 EX. Watching Chernobyl Diaries which sucks the big one. Really kinda pissed I spent $1 to watch this movie. As soon as this is over it's time to do some house work.

Officially after midnight on the west coast. Work tommorow but looking forward to smoking some nice bowls. I'm thinking tommorow is a Plum Pudding day. What the heck is so great about Penzance? Haha not bad or anything and I've smoked 4 bowls now but definitely don't think it's worth calling stores or paying over the top prices for but as always in this hobby to each his/her own.

What are some good blends that do not have alot of nicotine to smoke after midnight? English Blends?(not too fond of aromatics as much anymore..except maybe the "Frog Morton Series" I have always been a night owl and I work at a job where I usually get out past midnight every night!! I am a new smoker and still getting used to packing a pipe and learning cadence speed, etc! ( I have been a cigar smoker for years Any tips/Suggestions for a beginner?? (it's 3:50 am right now

Three minutes after midnight in Alaska .....

briarbrother after midnight, before bed, I usually smoke an aromatic .... right now working on a bowl of SG Grousemoor ..... or perhaps a nice neutral VA/Burley such as McBaren Symphony .... not an issue with nicotine but room note and moustache note .... smoking a Lat bomb right before bed will warrant comments from the wife.
Make sure your baccy isn't too wet or too dry and don't try to shove a fistful of it in a small bowled pipe. Cadence will come in time.

Hey I'm here. Baron must have ran out of ice cream or he got lucky

Anyway, I popped a tin of McClelland Black Shag earlier and on my second bowl now. This is pretty unique. Posted my thoughts on the "What Are You Smoking" thread earlier.
