I saw that David Cassidy just died at age 67, and I thought...strange...there's that age again.
Has the 27 Club now become the 67 Club?
Consider all of these recent memberships...they all died in 2017:
Glenn Frey: 67
Walter Becker: 67
David Cassidy: 67
Steve Wright of the Greg Kihn band: 67
Tom Petty 66: died just 18 days short of his 67th birthday
And these were all very close...and again all this year:
Malcolm Young: 64
Gregg Allman: 69
David Bowie: 69
Pete Overend Watts (from Mott the Hoople): 69
I'm wondering if there are any other notable recent age 67 deaths of musicians/artists?

I'm 69 and I've come close a few times.

Dad passe d @ age 82, but he led a less self destructive life than I have.

I survived my teens in the 60's.

The reaper has no timetable and neither do you.

Use it or lose it is not an old wive's tale, and old wives typically survive their spouses.

In the end, which comes when it wants to, we all face at least physical demise.

It seems that mine corresponds to the demise of the habitat upon which I depend, and to which I have inadvertently contributed.

There is good news! Since I stopped using aerosol deodorant, the hole in the ozone layer has shrunken!

Just doing my part.

No one in my family has lived past 65, so these ages seem average from my perspective.

"I think they just used up their 70's and 80's back in the 1970's and 1980's..."
Yep. Went from cocaine and Johnny Walker to just a cane and walker.

Well, shitska.
Just one more thing (in my 67th year) to worry about.

LOL...but then there are cases like Keith Richards (and the rest of the Stones for that matter) and Willy Nelson, and others...go figure.

Sorry to hear that Embers...I hope you're the first to break that trend.

Good one newbroom. Ol' Merle beat 67 by 12 years. Actually he died on his 79th birthday. Which raises another interesting thing...supposedly a majority of people die within a month or two of their birthdays.

As I recall, Hemingway died at 61. I like his quote, supposedly at the Ritz in Paris, upon hearing of someone's death. "People died this year who have never died before."

We are allotted 3 score and 10. Some make it, some don't. Maybe those who live longer are using those 'left overs' from the early ones.
You win some, lose some, and some are rained out.

I'm not greedy. When it's my time to go, I'll gladly give up my spot for the next person who wants to ride.
