still have my grandfather's tree brand pocket knife...shaped much like yours, he used it daily to cut plugs out of his "day's work" tobacco squares.
that is a good knife and, indeed, a fine gift.

I have my great grandfather's Case, my grandfather's, and my dad's. Very good knives that last many lifetimes.
Looks like the generosity ran both directions in this deal. Kudos to you both!
