I just picked up a Savenelli 614KS Oscar Elite Oom Paul style. I paid $5.00 for it and was wondering what the history is. Mine has an Ebonite stem. I noticed the one's sold by vendors online use a lucite stem. Any info would be appreciated.

Stem is just a matter of which series - oscar, Roma, Tundra etc - it amounts to a color scheme, finish, and stem material. Savinelli has about 100 different lines!

614 is a nice pipe, good size bowl but not silly big.

My only Oom-Paul is a Sav Hercules non-filter pipe, a gift from my wife. It has a good big, deep bowl, and is a great Semois pipe, but will show off any blend.
