A couple for the cellar, A couple to try.

Peterson's Sunset Breeze -It's a toss up between this and Pipeinhand's halfling Leaf as to which is my favorite aromatic blend.

Mac Baren Vanilla Cream Flakes -Sweet and delicious! I love messing around preparing flakes.

Mac Baren Mixture Flake -Not tried it but it sounds good.

G.L. Pease Sextant -Now this I can't wait to crack into!

Today - 1 lb of MacBaren HH Vintage Syrian, a tin of MacB Roll Cake - a revisit - and a tin of MacB Mixture Flake. It was supposed to be Mixture - even the slip was right - but an error was made in packing. I've never tried the flake, so what the heck.

Received a small TAD shipment today, courtesy of the fine folks at PipesandCigars; a fair amount of McClellands Navy Cavendish, my "fumar de los dios" that I cant live without. I also had my first experience with the Pease blends, Telegraph Hill. It was strange, the first bowl I found wholly unremarkable; the second, however, was completely different, I found it absolutely delightful. Bravo, Mr. Pease. I also received a small sample of Hearth & Home's new Cerberus latakia blend. I DO NOT favor latakia, and it seems to run in the family...upon inspection, my son told me the smell reminded him of a combination of burning rubber and dog piss;)

I just received a TAD order for myself and cprntr AKA Chris. This was from Park Lane Tobacconist in Clifton Park, NY. They also included 2 samples of house blends I wanted to try.

1 pound Sam Gawith Full Virginia Flake
1 1/2 pound Park Lane Connoisseur Flake
    4oz Park Lane Red Paramour--VAPer

I am showing a pic of the SG FVF. It comes in a small box with longer flakes and man do they pack them in. I just jarred some for the cellar and fit it into 3 pint jars.

So here's my shopping list. Anything a newbie should add to this? I want to keep it under $150.

I've only tried one English blend so far, but I love the heck out of it. Anyway...

    Victory Lap Sampler $20
    Lane Limited 1Q 8oz $15.68
Hearth & Home Marquee Black House (2oz tin) $10.50

    Penzance is $9.15

And I would add at least one 8oz tin of H&H while they are still just $14.95.

It seems I have not added my most recent order from P&C here. Here it is:

    Most Dangerous Thread award...

I've been trying to curtail my spending, since I've unwittingly started to build up a cellar of unopened tins and bulk bags, but I'm a very weak man.

    To the internet!

mmmm AB Black Market. Love that cigar, it's in the top five that I regularly smoke now.

My latest order was 2# of St James Flake from P&C and 500g of St James Plug from a friend. Oh, and a tin of Plumb Pudding.

I've got a tin each of CAO Cherry Bomb and MB Dark-Fired sitting in my cart at P&C waiting for me to convince myself I can afford it. I'm not there yet.

you should add the puke smiley to the post-side smiley box, jason!

    We have alot in common!!!

Just received my order from McCranie's of 5 tins of Red Flake.

This will go with the 3 I bought while I was there last month and the 8 tins of Red Ribbon I already have cellared. I am aiming for your aging on the tins!!!

I really like the Ribbon but I find the Flake to have little more spice to it that really hits the spot for me!!

Stopped at the local JR today for cigars for my daughter's wedding on Saturday. Along with the cigars, just happened to acquire tins of Squadron Leader, BBF, and Dunhill Flake.

The great thing about pioesandcigars.com is that you can email someone your wish list. So I emailed mine to the Mrs. Fingers crossed for Christmas TAD.
