I’ve heard so many smokers talking about Squadron Leader that I've been wanting to try some. Last night after watching someone pay a truly unholy amount of cash for a single tin of it, I broke down and ordered some.
Last Night:

Frog Morton on the Town…..200g (tins)
This morning I went to the shelf for some tobacco and noticed two 100g tins of Frog Morton on the Town that I had put on the wrong shelf and therefore forgot about! CHA-CHING!!

I'm glad I finally got to try some since it's a little hard to get right now. It is a good smoke.
Well, I hit up my B&M today and, surprise surprise I had a TAD attack!
I got:
3 oz. of Dunhill's Nightcap (it was on special: buy 2 get, 1 free)
1 oz. Chocolate ("house" blend smells like cocoa, thought I'd give it a whirl)
1 oz. Lane Ltd.'s Crown Achievement (the guy behind the counter didn't like the smell, English blends aren't his thing apparently)
Then I got home to find a package in the mail from a member here. He had seen that I had never tried Penzance so he sent me some! Plus, he included some Anniversary Kake with it! Talk about a great guy!
Needless to say, I've got some smoking to do to try out these new blends!

It seems if you Google a tobacco and it brings up an etailers page with the tobacco you just Googled and shows it for sale, what you're looking at could be a "historical page",....it will even let you proccess an order.
Even if the tobacco has been sold out for a long time.

You've discovered the trick to not only smoking MB Navy Flake but most Mac Baren's tobaccos. I hope you find the right rhythm for the NF because that's one of my favorites.

I've enjoyed MacBaren's tobaccos thus far. So far, I've smoked the HH Vintage Syrian and HH Mature Virginia, Syrian being my favorite of the two. I have to agree with the MacBaren baccys, the slower, the better.
I was waiting in line at my kids' school reading a book while smoking the NF and was in a pivotal point in the book. Maybe next time I'll listen to some music or something, lol.

I found the McClelland 221b Honeydew to be not to my liking. igloo, another member on this forum, suggests that you let it age for 6+ months which makes for a better smoke. I'm only 2 months into aging mine, so I'll let you know what I think in a few months. Just a heads up...

Just made my first bulk purchase though not a huge one. Picked up from local B&M, a blend of their own they call "Sailor's Delight". Golden Cavendish with a hint of fire-cured vanilla Cavendish blended in. Really nice flavor and very enjoyable smoke.
Working through my Middle Earth sampler and already know I will be picking up some more of those blends in bulk 
My order of a tin each: Davidoff Royalty, Danish and Flake Meddallions should be delivered this week.

I've been content with these so been spending money on pipes instead. I cant do both, at least not on that scale. You all have a positive influence! but, controling the urge to buy pipes is very very hard..

Bubba, open the W.O. Larsen Signature IMMEDIATELY and smoke some! It's sooo good! It has a slightly sweet, fruity note that is quite addictive. It's some seriously good leaf and a high quality blend. I highly suggest it!

*Escudo - really good. Very nice pretty smooth.
*Bulls eye flake -smooth and delicious. Really good really nice!
*Jack knife plug- jury still out. Need to smoke it again. It is very full bodied..

*MacBaren vanilla flake-really nice and smooth. The first bowl I thought ay' whatever. But by the 2nd I really liked it a lot..would buy again.
*Samuel Gawith-Navy flake-jury still out..for some reason I have had a hard time keeping it lite..I don't have that problem with anything else..so we will see as time goes on and it dries out a little bit.I left a couple flakes out over night and they were super dry..almost to dry...
*English luxury- like to have on hand..I enjoy it.
*1Q- also nice to have on hand.

Well in the past couple weeks I got myself 4 oz of C&D's Billy Budd, 4 oz of Pirate Kake, and 2 oz of Sir Walter Raleigh. I'm liking the Billy Budd and I think I'll need to get a drum of Raleigh sometime soon. Still waiting on the Pirate Kake but I do know that I love the latakia so I'm looking forward to getting that package.

That pipe is absolutely gorgeous! You had to be one of the first people to see it because I don't think anybody would walk away
from a pipe like that! Nice pick-up! 
I just recieved an order from Park-Lane, one pound of Fireside and one pound of PS -Luxury Bullseye Flake. I'm already enjoying the Fireside, but hope to stash away the LBF for at least a year. 
@cortezattic Thanks for the compliment about the pipe. When it arrived at my B&M (McCranie's) the owner held it back for me. He knew I would want it as I seek out Tonino Jacono's work. He grades his pipes according to chess pieces......Knight, Jack, Rook, Bishop, Queen, King, and Master. The one in the pic is a "master". The master is a new grade and right now is only available thru McCranie's in that finish. I also have a billiard in that finish too. They are great smoking pipes. They are built with the same quality as a Castello, but without the Castello price tag.

We use Mixture 79 as a hazing ritual for new members in our pipe club haha. I have only tried it that one time but it wasn't half bad IMHO. What are your thoughts?
Anyways, I took a chance and bought a unopened tin of Dan Tobacco Treasures of Ireland Shannon off Ebay with supposedly 5 years age to it. I hope to also acquire a Peterson Shannon pipe (hopefully through a trade) so I will be able to smoke both on my late mother's birthday in May, whose name was Shannon. She passed away of cancer when I was 12 at the age of 45.
