I am finally drawing near to the end of my dental implant procedure which also indicates the end of my pipe hiatus. Hard to believe it's been about 10 months since I last enjoyed some Frog Morton and a lot has changed in that arena. Essentially I avoided any nicotine or alcohol (even mouthwash) to promote good gum health.
In about 10 days I go in for the final mold of my upper teeth to measure the gap and document the post locations. Then about 14 more days until the final crowns are set in. From there I should be good to resume the pipe. Frankly, I'll feel like a kid unwrapping Christmas gifts; I won't know where to start, dive in everywhere and look back on the carnage later.
Who knows? I may even contribute to an actual pipe or tobacco discussion.
