Very nice pipe! I bought a Devil Anse style cob from them over a year ago and have been very happy with it. Now I see that MM is making the same pipe in a couple of shapes. Hope you enjoy yours!
That stem looks very small in that picture. I'm wondering, how does that affect the heat of the smoke in your draw? Or does it come down to a cadence issue?
I like the somewhat more proportional MM/Dagner collaboration on a poker nose-warmer (sitter) that still has a most ample bowl, not quite a stack like this one, but a plentiful chamber, and an acrylic stem. It costs more than a standard MM cob, but the acrylic stem made it worth it to me.
LOL, not hard at all, thats why it weirded me out completely!
I did buy it from a "tobacco/newstand" type shop in a town I just moved to, and basically had to blow the dust off the thing, so no telling how long it sat there waiting to be bought.
Melted the bit on a cob yesterday. When I'm breaking in a new cob, I'll stop smoking near the bottom, put my mouth over the bowl, and gently blow till smoke stops coming out the mouthpiece. The goal being to burn the stem poking into the bowl.
I did a good job of it this time. Burnt the excess stem nicely but the bit melted a little and doesn't fit anymore. Good thing I have a few extra.
