Sunday Fun & Meeting People

I went to Seahorse Restaurant (Pass-A-Grille) for the first time ever for breakfast, totally on a whim. I sat next to this guy at the counter and we had an amazing 1-hour conversation about Philosophy, Religion, Psychology, Islamic Extremists, Iran, Iraq, Catholicism, etc.
He is currently doing his Ph.D. in Philosophy & Religion. It is so cool to talk to someone that is smart and "gets it". We agreed on everything, and I enjoyed the conversation so much that I offered to build his website for free for his non-profit think-tank just so I can be involved with one of the smartest people I ever met. (And to think I almost just made breakfast at home.)
Here's the rest of the morning after breakfast ... and after doing 130 MPH on the straightaway today. (Man this car kicks.)

I also hung out with this couple that was fishing, chatted them up, and then another guy came by smoking a cigar while was I doing the same, and we hung out and talked and smoked.
It's been a fun morning. Now it's time to get cleaned up for my afternoon hot date. We're going to see Mission Impossible 4 - Ghost Protocol. (I didn't even know there was a 2 & 3, but I loved 1.)
When I order the tickets for the movie, I will say: "One Adult ... and one Hot Babe."
One of the many fun things about a new chick is that I can use my old lines, and they're new again.

Kevin - glad you are having a good one there. But where's your pipe? Or is it too windy to puff in a TT @ 130?
PS - Porsches and MB topdowns have a backscreen that cuts down the wind turbulence considerable, but then you wouldn't have the wind ruffling your hair.

When I lived in Germany, back in the late 50's and early 60's I had a white Mercedes. 6cyl, dual fuel pumps, carbs, and ignition. It had special racing suspension. Ran it on the autobahn up to 145 and felt like it was doing 60.
(photo is very like it but not same car.)

"The fact is, squire, the moment a man takes to a pipe, he becomes a philosopher. It's the poor man's friend; it calms the mind, soothes the temper, and makes a man patient under difficulties. It has made more good men, good husbands, kind masters, indulgent fathers, than any other blessed thing on this universal earth."

Sounds like the perfect day
!!!

Autobahn is no fun anymore, with 70% of it having speed restrictions, like that stopped me
-
@ Les - yes, too windy in the car and on the water for the pipe, but pipes are still my favorite.
@theray - the pink building is the famous Don Cesar Resort on St. Pete Beach.
@drsam - Yes, Mercedes makes amazing cars. When I was doing 130, it feels like maybe 60 or 70.

Movie date exceeded expectations Andy. That's all I'll say as a gentleman. This chick looks like she just stepped out of the pages of the Victoria's Secret catalog. And she likes me a lot. Yay!
-
AWESOME Kev,
You deserve the best. Don't settle for less.

If you ever get to DC, I will pull Baby out of the storage unit and we can play tag.

Yup, I'm totally jealous you're in FL. Want some female company until it warms up here? Girls make the best wingman!

Man, I gotta stop making kids so I can live the "Snow-bird" life; I was starting to forget what a sunny day looked like!

Wow!
I've got a 3.0-liter, DOHC, 24-valve V6 with 228 horsepower @ 6,500 rpm and 221 lb-ft. of torque anywhere between 2,700 and 5,000 rpm. 7-speed transmission.
But I only weigh in at 3,000 lbs.
It could be a fun race.
EDIT: And how come only Paul gets to see the babe.
LOL. Paul was already in my contacts list for doing photography for me. I'll email you now.
-
I think Kevin is now obliged to post up a picture of this cutie that he has been talking to. What do you think guys?!
-
SO THERE Paul.
As long as we do mostly straight runs I will be fine. She is in the mid 10's but, a corner confuses the hell out of her.
BTW she is only 3120 so look out.
You know, you could always get the Kompressor. They make kits for that car. THEN watch out baby, fasten your 6 point, it's going to get scary.

Hey Kevin, looks like a great day.
My little Mazda will go from 0 to 60 and back to 0 in just under 3 seconds if I drive it off a cliff...
-
Cyndi, you're married and I respect that .... so NO!
LOL Lawrence.

Sounds way better than my morning of shoveling snow!
