Picked up this estate pipe at a local store. Royal Ascot Italian briar.
After reaming, I found a metal object in the bottom of the bowl. It extends from the draft hole to the other side of the bowl. It looks like a stinger was shoved into the bowl as far as it would go. The stem isn't original, so there's no help there.
Any idea what it could be? I've never seen anything like it.
