Anyone know how to de-rotate a Grabow adjustomatic stem? I have an 84 wire finish that needs work. the biggest issue I see is the stem over-rotates when threading by maybe 10 degrees. I think the threaded portion in the stem itself is rotating but I haven't been able to de-rotate it the opposite direction. I may have to try something stronger like a vise grip with some material on the jaws.

You may have to bear down a bit, particularly if it's bound up. Please check back if you feel like you're going to break it when trying to turn it clock-wise.

Just keep rotating until it is clocked back into position. It will only clock in one direction.
I felt like such a dumbass fretting over how to reclock my first Adjustomatic by heating the stem glue blahblahblah then realized it goes all the way around

So, yeah. So simple. Duh. LOL You aren't the only one :D
