It has been about half a year since I last lit my "Sir James" or "Orlik De Luxe"(some of my favorite English pipes. However, not even the two had that "magical" ability to do so. Rather, it was the pipe I had been expecting since February of this year. It was the 14" Strider style bowl and stem with medium brown gradient stain. Simply put, I owe it to no other than the maker of the pipe--Tom Johnson.
Ever since the "arrival of the strider", I have been puffing again and again.... :puffy:

That's quite a pipe. I'm guessing you don't clench! Is there no vulcanite or acrylic stem -- just briar all the way?

No Sir, no clinching here :D
I doubt the stem is vulcanite or acrylic. It is a maple stem from what I know.
