I only wish I'd found that to be the case. Last year I opened a tin that had 5 years on it. Absolutely hated it. Couldn't finish a bowl of it. Tossed out the rest of the bowl, scrubbed out the pipe to get rid of any lingering effects and divided the tin, giving it away to several people here. But with three years aging, it’s sublime!
And quite terrible. If you missed it, just buy WhiteKnight. Less expensive and much closer to actual Balkan Sobranie.

Well neither of them exactly float my boat these days, but I found WhiteKnight a closer profile to the old stuff than Germain's in an ABC test. And quite terrible.
People are willing to spend an extra $20 for that blurry reproduction of the tin art.
Whiteknight just has a sweetness I don't care for. Just doesn't feel right for a Balkan/English blend.Well neither of them exactly float my boat these days
