As the title suggests, What beverage do you partake in while smoking your pipe?

my go to preference is a coffee concoction i like: in a 1 qt beer mug 3 heaping tablespoons of carnation rich and creamy hot chocolate mix, fill till 3/4" from the top of glass with strong coffee, then top up with coffeemate brand vanilla-caramel creamer. For the once in a blue moon times that i want a more spirited beverage a nice chilled tawny port makes its way to my hand.

Water, tea, coffee, beer. I can't smoke without having at least something to drink.

    Before noon- coffee
    Noon to 4:00 PM- water
After 4:00 PM- Scotch on the rocks

Usually coffee or tea, but this time of year, some locally-pressed hot cider.

Take the Old Cajun's advice on this one. I started having a Creme Soda with my smoke and it's the best decision I've made since picking up the pipe in the first place.

Don't laugh, but I really enjoy sipping some ice cold (nearly frozen) lowfat milk when I'm piping. For whatever reason, both the baccy and the milk taste better together than alone.

A cuppa good fresh brewed coffee, occasionally a hot chocolate, and serendipitously, the occasional creme soda.

Coffee, tea (hot or iced), or water.

Very rarely do I like anything carbonated while smoking. If I'm smoking a new tobacco or cigar that I've never tried before I usually always stick to water.

I enjoy wine, but not while smoking.

In the daytime, sweet warm tea. I find it reduces the tendency to tongue bite with 'bright' VAs. I believe this is due to the high concentration of anti-oxidants in tea (pipe smoke has oxidants +++). At night, either red wine or port serve well (both high in anti-oxidants).

First thing, the only coffee I drink a day (to wake me up).

All day, water. Maybe a Coke or something at lunch.

Evening, either Whisky/Bourbon or cider (or sometimes a combo of the 2).

Generally coffee or tea for me too.

Exception to my rule the other night I had some young coconut juice while having a pipe...I don't think I'll mix the two again. I like the stuff, just not at the same time as a pipe.

Coffee, black, in the morning. Tea w/honey in the afternoon and evening. I recently quit drinking (which means I have maybe a beer and a nightcap of scotch, ha!), so I been having a lot of tea lately.

In the morning until about 1 or 2 pm, Mayorga Organic Cafe Cubano or Cafe Du Monde coffee. After that is Luzianne de caf iced tea with Stevia for sweetener. If I am drinking it is normally Tito vodka with diet tonic and a splash of cranberry.

Just water for me. I find if I drink much of anything with flavor the tobacco becomes one dimensional for me. Occasionally I top off a pipe with a bit of Scotch but that is about as close as I get.

Cafe du Monde coffee, or something else rather strong if one of my flatmates has made it, black tea, or water during the day. Flavorful beer (stouts, ales, porters, german/belgian beers, etc) or Scotch/Irish/bourbon whisky later.

If I drink anything at all, its usually hard alcohol or beer. I've been meaning to try tea with it, but usually I don't have any drink at all.

Used to be loose leaf green tea or water. The girlfriend lately has changed my breakfast to a spinach, carrot, alovera juice concoction so now that's what I drink when I smoke.

I love sweet tea. However, I have found that I do not like it with my pipe. Also, I dont like beer with it (or I dont like beer with the tobacco I have tried it with, Im thinking it needs a stout tobacco to go with it).

I do like coffee with my pipe. I need to try some jack daniels...

Be careful with Cream soda and a pipe, the carbonation could sting badly. Bradley has been smoking longer than most of us have been alive so his tongue is like a rhino's hide and carbonation is nothing for him. For a new smoker, I would not recommend anything with carbonation. Of course try the cream soda and see for yourself, but if you get s stinging sensation, you will know what it is.

Coffee during the day, and at times some Makers Mark ( after the reviews here ) or a Canadian beer.
Vodka and cranberry juice is a wonderful refreshing drink.

I like coffee in the mornings, and that will last until I stop drinking coffee. Maybe just one pot, but if I'm still home doing work, I'll make two! Coffee and tobacco really do work well together.

Once I'm out for the first time of the day though, any mid-day smokes happen with a variety (coke, stout, porter, tea, water) but really are often beverage free smokes.

Then once home again, either the same list as above, or more likely Scotch (single malt - neat). After one or two of those I'll likely switch to red wine or bourbon.
