So Syrian Latakia is pretty much history at this point...

It's quite amazing that some person explored flavors in such depth that he even learned of Latakia.

It is an interesting article on Tobacco blending. I will post the PDF link. Bizarre shit was put into tobacco blends...such as Asbestos. Also, there was a blend that was based on virginia leaves being aged in a ham smokehouse. I think I would like to try that one.

Has there ever been a bacon flavored tobacco? I think many would try it; I would.

Maple and bacon would be even better.

Someone said that War Horse originally contained Belladonna, not sure if they were kidding, but it seems possible, given the age of the blend.

Yo philo
I recall talking to the SToP folks during the development phase of the current War Horse which involved chemical analyses at a lab abroad, and belladonna was one of the ingredients. But then, the Brits in those days didn't have our FDA.

As for maple bacon flavor - check out McClelland's Royal Cajun Ebony. That flavor combination stood out to me as a strong overtone, and great smoking blend.
