Just thought I would recap my long weekend for you, all and all it was a good weekend besides my washer breaking down and getting a crack on the screen of my smart(dumb)phone never even dropped it makes no sense anyway heres what i did.
Friday
I went over to my sisters house with my wife, She and her where baking and making gum paste flowers for my sisters mother in laws 50th birthday cake. While me and the brother in law were playing Need for Speed Most Wanted. After we went into the Garage and enjoyed a bowl of 3year old Mac Baren Roll Cake which was absolutely fantastic.
Saturday
Spent time with the family we drank some moonshine that was brought back from a trip to Florida and celebrated my little cosines first birthday.

Sunday
This day was kind of a PAD day for me lol. I won two of the three auctions i was bidding on online.
Some of you may remember the GBD with the Perspex stem I cleaned up a while ago if not here it is.
I noticed on the bidding site this little guy had brothers and sisters so i decided why not collect these guys.
GBD is the first pipe brand I've bought more then once.
So now i collect GBD Prehistoric Pipes With perspex Stems. Why not.
Also Me and the wife went clothes shopping probably because i felt guilty on the PAD lol. No, I'm just kidding we had good time and while we were shopping we decided that we should spend the night in Niagara Falls, Ontario. So we booked a room at the Hilton on the Dumbphone lol for a good deal surprisingly, i guess cause it was Sun already.
I always like the Casino view the best, all the crazy stuff happens in front of the casino not to mention fireworks which i didn't photograph cause the dumbphone died.
Monday
After a long drive back home, actually it was like 45min but it felt like 4hrs, me and my wife decided we would do a little cleaning. She took upstairs and i took laundry duty. Lucky for me the machines are in the basement which is also my mancave.

Anyway i took out my personal collection and was about to get to cleaning when bang! the bearings on my washing machine went :x are you freaking kidding me right now.
Since everything is closed i just stopped laundry went upstairs to help my wife finish her part of the cleaning because i am a gentleman and i help my lady. :clap:. After that was complete we went for a walk to calm down and relax. When we got back from our walk we decided that we would do our own things, she would watch her Big Brother thing and i would descend into the Mancave. After a long time cleaning i wasnt really up to cleaning my entire collection anymore instead i decided that i would work on just one. and some of you will remember this one but if you don't here's a picture of how i received it.
I bought this of the bay a while back and the stem was a mess, I had already reamed out the bowl and did a Alcohol/cotton ball treatment to it so the bowl is good. The stem however was plugged with a piece of pipe cleaner and blackish tar the would not go away. So i did what any sane man who has gone insane would have done and i cut a bit off the end 8O of the stem, About 3/4". After i cut it i went at it with pipe brushes and cleaners to no success it still had the gunk in there. So i took my drill bit set and by hand while hold the bit with vice-grips i turned the stem on expending the draft hole in the stem just enough to get it clean. Then using my file kit i did my first button reshaping ever it was terrible but good enough. also sanding the stem with all grades shown.
A few hours later i couldnt resist trying it out i smoked Roll Cake in it and i was actually surprised on how well the flavor came out of this pipe it was great. Besides having to relight it constantly it was great for trying new blends. the stem is still messy looking but thats because its amber and its cracked inside but it works so im happy with it.
